Debutant & Gents ProgramsÂ
Program Description:
The Young Debs and Gents Mentorship Program is a unique and transformative initiative, drawing inspiration from the traditional Beau and Debutante program while infusing it with a modern twist. Our program focuses on nurturing and guiding young ladies and gentlemen through their formative years, offering mentorship, academic support, and life skills education. Here's what makes our program stand out:
Mentorship with a Heart:
Every Debs and Gents participant is assigned a dedicated mentor who volunteers their time to provide guidance, support, and encouragement. These mentors are here to help with a wide range of needs, from homework assistance to college decisions, motivation, and more.Importantly, all mentors are available to assist any student in our program, fostering a sense of community and support.
Program Timeline:

The Young Debs and Gents program typically runs from September or October through June, providing a year-round commitment to personal growth and development.

Community Engagement and Enrichment:

Debs and Gents actively participate in community service activities, nurturing a sense of responsibility and empathy.
They attend various social events, which have included exciting experiences such as Broadway shows at the Hippodrome Theatre, volunteering for the Maryland Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the Baltimore Marathon, and spreading joy through caroling at local nursing homes.
Cultural enrichment is achieved through visits to festivals (e.g., Maryland Renaissance Festivals), amusement parks, and sporting events, broadening horizons and creating lasting memories.

Etiquette and Life Skills Classes:
-
Debs and Gents participate in etiquette classes that cover essential life skills such as table manners, conflict resolution, and respect for others and property.
-
These classes also delve into practical skills like time management, study habits, interview skills, and how to handle difficult situations.
-
We have partnered with Emma's Tea Spot (Baltimore, MD) and students will have access to the full 6 month etiquette curriculum we designed.

Performing Arts Outreach (PAO) Program:
-
Students have the opportunity to engage in the Performing Arts Outreach (PAO) program too, where they learn the elements of musical theatre, including dance, vocals, acting, and stage design.
-
Past performances include classics like The Nutcracker, The Lion King, and The Wiz, enabling students to explore their artistic talents. This program will now occur June-September.
-
Senior Debutants and Beaus are not required to participate in the POA program, but they are welcome.
Empowering Future Leaders:
